We have initiated our activities in 1950, in Sao Paulo city, as staples manufacturer for flat belts amendments. Due to the staples application, such as sharp claws, the name Onça (type of Brazilian jaguar) came to mind, relating our product to the typical Brazilian feline animal. Right from the start we became leaders of the Brazilian market.
Also in the initial phase we started the production of saws shafts with several dimensions.
Soon after, we started the production of the pulleys for automotive line by importing, in the middle of 1974, the innovated technology to produce cold-rolled pulleys using iron plates and replacing the traditional cast iron.
In 1979 we moved the manufacturing plant to Valinhos city of and our office to São Paulo city. The manufacture of automotive parts became the company's main focus.
In 1989, using the new generation machinery, we started manufacturing multi-“V” pulleys made from cold swaged plates (conception adopted in all the new vehicles).
Nowadays we have the machinery and knowhow for manufacturing cogwheels aggregated to the pulleys, dampers, etc.
Today we are the biggest Brazilian manufacturer, having automotive manufactory plants based in Brazilian soil as main customers. We are also authorized as international supplier. |
